I left a can of frosting in the refrigerator a couple months ago, unopened ...would it still be okay to use?!
Answers:
Sadly most frostings use hydrogenated and/or partially hydrogenated oils!. It has a huge preservative effect on any product that it is in!. These trans fats make the product "shelf stable", but are not healthy for us!.
So check the date on the can, most likely it will not be expired!. You can also put your frosting in a bowl and whip it with an electric blender and it will expand almost double in volume, reducing calories per serving!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unopened!? Sure!. I'm not even sure it would go bad if it had been opened!. That kind of stuff has so many preservatives it takes forever to go bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
