Answers:
The source of Omega 3 fatty acids in fish is the grey area of flesh found just beneath the skin of dark-fleshed fish such as salmon, sardines, herring, mahi mahi, etc!. So if you want to eat fish for the omega 3 content, you should eat dark-fleshed fish with the skin still on!. White fish contain some Omega 3 fatty acids, but much less!. A skinless whitefish filet will have little to no omega 3 fatty acids, as will commercially prepared fish sticks!. You are better off eating a piece of pickled herring than a box of fish sticks or a can of tuna!. At least those still have the skin on them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ounce for ounce and dollar for dollar it has to be tuna fish!. Hands down the cheapest is tuna!. Go to your local grocer and talk with the seafood manager they will let you know the best!. It is also the most easily accessible fish around!. Happy trails!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fatty fish like mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines, albacore tuna and salmon are high in two kinds of omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)!.
