How does escargot and caviar taste?!
Answers:
Escargot= Salty, undercooked pasta that has the consistancy of a booger and is soaked in garlic-parsley butter!. The garlic usually masks the taste which is probably a good thing!. If it's tough and tastes faintly like dirt, you got bad escargot!. If it's tender and boogery, like well cooked pasta and a little salty you got 'good' escargots but I guess it's all a matter of opinion! My personal opinion is there are 2 kinds 1) Bad escargot 2) worse escargot!. A lot of people like it though, including my mom, sister and bf!.
Caviar= Slimy, salt-water filled little pouches that 'explode' more salt water when you bite into them!. Different types taste slightly different!. Salmon caviar are big, salty, orange, fishy and taste pretty gross!.
There is a tiny black kind that is ok, I think it's lumpfish or something!. I had a Japanese kind called "Roe" that was tiny and an orange-beige color!. It's like salty and served on top of a really chewy seaweed!. The caviar it'self is the consistancy of tiny, shrunken miniture basketballs! It was so rubbery and chewy it was like my teeth BOUNCED off it when I took a bite!. I almost puked but managed to keep it together!. Japanese get really insulted if you don't like their food!. I swear I put the roe in my pocket and threw it away later!. It was totally unedible! If you do try roe I would suggest a SMALL bite to start! also avoid trying it around Japanese people, or any people who get offended easily!
Best of luck to you!. I personally never cared for either food but to each thier own!. As I have said I tried a small black caviar on pate and it was great!. The rest of it is just scary! My sister likes both though!.
I don't like escargots but frogs legs are surprisingly good! Some people say it's like chicken, I thought frogs legs were more like tender pork or a little like fish without the fishy taste!. Not bad!. I tried the snail thing a few times and never liked it personally but I would try frogs legs again!.
Just have an open mind and try new things whenever possible!. You might find something you like OR you might find out it's not your thing, either way, you will learn so go ahead and take a bite! Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
