Are Sandwich Bags Pre-Greased?!

Question: Are Sandwich Bags Pre-Greased!?
These are the small, plastic bags that can't be zipped up, and are usually used to store sandwiches or snacks!.

I recently opened up a box of GLAD sandwich bags and took a whiff, and it might just be my nose, but it seemed like I could smell traces of grease or oil, as if the bags had been pre-lubricated with the substance or something like that!.

It's probably not the case, but I wanted to check and see if anyone knew that these bags are traditionally lubricated with grease or anything like that!? It's a concern because I have stored other non-food items in them where the presence of "oil" might not be a good thing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
They're not lubricated, but this type of plastic is made from a petroleum by-product so there might be some "oil" smell to it!. also, plastic has been proven to leach toxins into your food and drink, consider using parchment or waxed paper to wrap your food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
