After the eggs reach home, they may be refrigerated 3 to 5 weeks from the day they are placed in the refrigerator!. The "sell-by" date will usually expire during that length of time, but the eggs are perfectly safe to use!.

How to Test an Egg for Freshness
Eggs are best bought straight from the farm; however, if you don't live near a farm and have to rely on the store for your egg supply, it's good to know how to test them for freshness!. By the time supermarket eggs reach the shelves, they are between two weeks and one month old!. Sell-by dates are known to be inaccurate!. So how do you tell if it's a bad egg or a good egg
-Wash all your eggs in cold water!. Discard dirty water!.
-Place clean eggs in large bowl of clean cold water!.
-Watch carefully for eggs that float instead of sink!. The reason bad eggs float is because they're full of air!.
-Remove all bad eggs and discard!. Dry off good eggs (the ones that sunk) and place in egg cartons!. Refrigerate!.

I read yesterday that eggs are good for 3 to 4 weeks after the sell by date and the only way to know is to crack one and inspect, the more cloudy the white and firm the yolk the fresher the egg, if you smell any odors at all toss themWww@FoodAQ@Com
Test the freshness of the eggs by dropping them in a bowl of cold water!.!.!.if they sink to the bottom, they're good for another week!. But if they float to the surface, they're old and should be thrown away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The eggs at my grocery store have a sell-by date and a use-by date!. The ones in the fridge say "sell by Sep!. 1, use by Sep 16"!.
They're not special eggs or anything; just the regular kind!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Crack the egg into a bowl by its self, if it looks right and smells ok then it is good!.!.!.the whole floating, and sinking thing doesn't work!!!
