Question: What is a scone because I have never heard of one!?
I went to my home church on tuesday to this thing called the food pantry where they bags of free food, sort of like salvation army!. They 2 scones in it, and I have never heard of it, what is it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It tastes a little like a biscut!.!.!. It's a lumpier, coarser dough, and can be savory or sweet (cheese, herbs !.!.!. or raisins, cinnamon, fruit)!. They're not very sweet, and good for breakfast or with coffee or tea!. I really like fruit scones:)Www@FoodAQ@Com

A scone is a Brtish thing, I think!. It a cross between a bread roll and a cake!. They often have sultanas in!. Usually eaten in England with Jam and cream but you can make them with cheese so they are savory!. Quite crumbly and have a flavour which is unusual because they have bicarbonate of soda in them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A scone is a small cake or bun, somewhere between the two in taste!.
