The reason they are negative is because you spend more energy eating them then the calories you take in!. Mind you, all of these must be eaten as is!. Putting butter on your cob of corn or breading your fish defeats the purpose!.

I wouldn't get too hung up on calorific values!. If you eat healthily and take some exercise you will lose weight!. If you cut down the calories too much your body will go into starvation mode, manage on less and then store any extra immediately as fat when you start to eat more sensibly again!.

i only no about celery but yes it does make you loose weight because you burn more calories by chewing it than actually eating it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
