The best knives u can buy is VICTORINOX!. These sharp beauties are Swiss made!. This is the best brand of knives that I have used so far!. These knives are not cheap and some may cost you way above 100 AUD!. But still this is the best what you can get!. Go for a basic 6"- 8" blade, a small paring knife and a cleaver to start with --- buy other types if you really need them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The only knives I ever use at work are a 10" santoku, a long serrated bread knife, and a slim long cheese knife!. I really like Dexter-Russell knives!. You can do anything with just the first two!. I don't think the place I work at even has a butcher or paring knife!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Watch Rachel Ray or Martha Stewart!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A Ginsu my friend, all you need is the famous Ginsu knife!.
