It doesn't apply to wet food because there will be plenty more germs on wet food than there would be on, say, a jelly bean!. The germs come from your shoes and feet when you're walking around!. It's disgusting and even though many don't get sick from it, it can still affect you in ways you would think was related to something else!. I wouldn't feed it to an animal, why feed it to myself!? Just be careful and do your best to not spill anything!. I'm sure we can all do that if we pay attention!. I'm dis-coordinated and I know what I'm talking about (it's major)!. If I pay attention, I will be less likely to spill (and if I slip, I can still catch it so it doesn't spill)!. If I can do this, others should be able to as well!.
Rule: If you drop pudding, apple sauce and anything else that is wet, don't pick it up!. If it's dry, like a jelly bean or natural popcorn (no butter), then pick it up and eat it, there's no problem!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First of all, if you follow this rule then no, it shouldn't apply to any liquid objects!. BUT, that rule is actually a lie and has been disproved because it takes less than a second for harm causing bacteria to access products that have touched it!. So, you shouldn't eat food that's been on the ground!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It is more like the 30 second rule according to Mythbusters!. Wood floors, tile floors, countertops are generally safe if the food is rised off!. It is when it hits fabric, ie couches and chair where you can run into fecal matter contamination!. Look it up!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I actually saw this experiment tested on a show!. And the MOMENT the item of food touches the dirty floor, it is contaminated!. So once you drop it, clean it up, dont eat it! :P

the five second rule is actually not true at all!. it doesnt matter how little the food has been on the ground, itss have the same amount if you wait five seconds, so im guessing pudding and applesauce applies too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Oh god no it doesnt apply to anyfood that has sticky sides or anything that isnt solid
