A question about crock pots?!
Can a person use a crock pot as a deep fryer!? Or do they not get hoot enough!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
No, it won't be sufficient as a deep fryer because crock pots were designed to cook slowly at low temperatures (anywhere from 180 to maybe 300 degrees on the highest setting, depending on your model)!.
Effective deep frying is usually done in oil the temp of 350-375 degrees, or even higher, so no, unfortunately the crock pot won't get hot enough for this!.
Your better bet if you don't have an actual deep fryer is to use a deep pot of oil on the stove top, and use a thermometer to monitor oil temp if you have one available!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most likely it wouldn't get hot enough!. But you could use a normal pot - you'd just have to be really careful around the hot oil, and you'd need a basket to drain whatever it was you were deep frying, unless you used metal tongs to remove it and then put it on some paper towels to soak up the excess oil!. No, you must get a deep fryer if you want to fry something!. Crock pots are great for homeade stew and soup!.You are making me hungry now, lol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
That is an unequivocal no! Even if it could, it would not be safe in that you cannot control the heat!. Recommend following what has already been said!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
well there not gunna get hot like a fryer, but it might be hot enough to still cook it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
