How can you tell when a red tamarillo is ripe?!


Question: How can you tell when a red tamarillo is ripe!?
The skin of the one I bought yesterday is a deep red!. I've palpated the flesh, but it only has a slight give to it!.!.!.

I've never eaten one before and Google wasn't helping me with this very well!

Help me out, guys!? Or girls!.!.!.
