Are eggs best kept in the fridge or at room temperature?!
I've noticed when I keep eggs in a basket in my kitchen the colour of the shell fades!. The ones kept in the fridge keep their original brownish colour!.
Are they still fresh after fading!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

They should be stored below 18C - your kitchen is likely to be above that quite a lot of the time - so in the fridge is best!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
For all practical purposes, it doesn't matter!.
They seem to "cook better" at room temperature, however, most studies seem to indicate that Salmonella (which grows in chicken barns, under foot) grows better in eggs at room temperature!.
However, for most healthy adults, Salmonella isn't a great risk!.
(I keep mine out!. (But don't tell the Authorities!))Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you buy free range eggs or organic eggs they are best kept at room temperature, but shouldnt be left out longer than a week
however
if you buy battery farmed or non organic eggs they should be put in the fridge, as this helps kill any infections or food poisioning that the eggs may containWww@FoodAQ@Com
