it was fresh chicken frozen on the day of purchase!.!.!.it's been defrosted for 4 days now - should it still be OK to eat!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
chicken does not sit well for long even in the refrigerator!. you need to eat it the day you remove it from the freezer!. i would not trust 4 day old chicken even in the refrigerator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

depends how cold is your refrigerator!.
If you defrosted chicken and put it back in the refrigerator that's really cold, fine!. Just make sure it doesn't smell funny (you wil still process it, right!? cook, broil, boil!?!? )!.!?
if it's slimy or stinks, toss it!.!.

Be safe and toss it!! Mostly meats are good for about 48 hours after defrosting if it is done in the fridge, but more than that with chicken the less likely it is to be good!.

Some foods spoil faster than others!. Chile and Chicken are two that spoil really fast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Salutations,
I would say don't go past 48 hours, but generally I only defrost things right before use!. and of course freah is best! Cheers Www@FoodAQ@Com

No I don't think it's any good after 2 days I think it starts going bad!. Toss it and be safe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
