Tell them that they have protein and protein makes them grow bigger!. They also have vitamin B which will give them energy!!! See below!. You may want to saute them with some spices or cheese to get them to eat them!.
Surprisingly, mushrooms are a pretty good source of protein, and though they don't have any vitamin C or beta carotene (because they don't have chlorophyll), they are relatively high in B vitamins, copper and a variety of other minerals!. They are also extremely low in calories (20 calories per cup of raw mushrooms)!.

I have never heard any health benefits for mushrooms, the only thing I ever heard about mushrooms is flavour!.
The most I heard about mushrooms is that they can be very dodgy when picking them in the wild!. Ray Mears (the exteme survival guy), only ever rates them as flavour, and says they have very little nutritional value, I believe him! : )Www@FoodAQ@Com

Recent studies have shown shiitake and reishi mushrooms are potential cancer-fighters!. Reishi extracts have been shown to stop the growth of cancerous tumors and also produce an antihistamine action which can help to control allergies!.
Shiitake mushrooms contain a compound called lentinan, which is being used as a cancer treatment in Japan!.
Mushrooms are also a good source of riboflavin and niacin and contain no fat or cholesterol!.
