I'm just wondering: Would the average hamburger or the average hot dog be healthier!?

Answers:
The burger would be healthier especially if made with lean ground beef!. Looks like the hot dog has more fat, sodium & cholesterol than the burger, but the burger has a few more calories!.

A hamburger made with 100% beef contains by definition no fillers!. Most hotdogs, on the other hand, contain little else!. There are some more-expensive hotdogs that claim to contain no fillers!. Those would definitely be healthier than the standard variety!. Check the sodium content, of course, if that's a concern to you!.

It depends on the quality and what both of them were made of!.

If the choice was a 1 dollar hamburger or a 1 dollar hotdog, I would choose the hamburger!.

Don't listen to the first answer who babbled about worms, all meat in the U!.S!.A is properly inspected and with thorough cooking they are all removed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say hot dogs are worse, because they are made from scraps of everything, where a hamburger is better, because it's just beef!. You shouldn't consume too much red meat, though because that isn't good either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

they are both fantastic, but there are no two finer words in the english language than "encased meats" my friend!. Got to go with the hot dog as better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hamburgers, you don't even know what's in hot dogs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
