Are they packaging chips in smaller bags to limit serving sizes?!

Question: Are they packaging chips in smaller bags to limit serving sizes!?
It seems like there was a lot more quantity in bags of chips/pretzels, cookies ect!. nearly a decade ago!. Is this because they're now packaging food based on serving sizes!? Why does it seem like we're paying for a half a bag of air when we get our snacks!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
They make package sizes smaller all the time so they don't have to raise the price!. They do this in everything, canned goods, boxed goods, toilet paper etc!.!. Years ago toilet paper was about 450 sheets to the roll!. They kept cutting it back till the roll is now 200 sheets or less!. They are now selling what they call double rolls!. These so called double rolls have around 400 sheets!. They are not even as big as what used to be normal!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

That is always the way to do it, lessen the quantity and packaging, and put up the price!.

Recently Vegemite reduce the size of their jars from 450g-400g and the price went up also!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
