Question: Why does bread turn hard when you spread honey on it!?
Title sums it up!. I enjoy peanut butter and honey sandwiches, and always wondered why the honey side becomes crunchy even on soft untoasted bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A: Honey is a hydroscopic product!.!.!.!.!. meaning that honey attracts moisture, so i can see how honey would make your bread hard!.
It will draw the (moisture out of the bread ) Into the honey and make the top a little ruff!. I hoped this was helpful!.

well, every time i have honey on bread it never does that!. It must have something to do with the peanut butter and honey touching!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It still stays soft regardless of whatever you put on bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
