Yes, there are lots of things you can add to add flavor to your beans !.!.!.!.!.!.!. link, italian, or hot ground sausage, bacon, ham, liquid smoke, red or yellow onion, bell peppers, celery, pineapple, maple syrup, brown sugar, cumin, thyme, garlic, ginger, tomato, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salsa, molasses, and many more and if you are looking to add hotness, you can add curry, black pepper, chili pepper, cayenne, Tabasco, Franks Red Hot Sauce, Louisana Hot Sauce, Tapatio Hot Sauce, Cholulu Hot Sauce, Srirachi Chile Sauce, jalapenos, green chilies, habanaro peppers, and many others!. Here is a spicy recipe I use !.!.!.!.!.!.

1 pound ground hot italian sausage
4 (16 ounce) cans baked beans with pork
1 (4 ounce) can canned chopped green chile peppers
1 small red onion, peeled and chopped
1 cup regular flavored barbeque sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tablespoon chili powder
3 tablespoons Srirachi chile sauce

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground sausage until no longer pink; drain fat, and set aside!.

In a 3 1/2 quart or larger slow cooker, combine the sausage, baked beans, green chiles, onion and barbeque sauce!. Season with brown sugar, garlic, chili powder and hot chili sauce!. Cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or low for 4 to 5 hours!. Note-drain liquid out of 2 of the 4 cans of beans before adding to crock potWww@FoodAQ@Com

I usually add a little picante sauce that I get at a local Mexican restaurant, I've also added some spicy barbeque sauce and some type of hot pepper!.

If I'm doing a traditional beans on toast, I add grated sharp cheddar and sliced tomatoes!. AWESOME!

Baked Beans on Toast!.
Pour the contents of a can into an m/w bowl and nuke on high power to 90 seconds and stir!.
Continue for a further 90 seconds and let rest for a few minutes!.
Diced Onion or/and Ham, some Chilli powder or Cayenne pepper could be added!.
Serve on hot buttered toast!.
Put a fried/poached egg on top!.
A can of spaghetti would be a good substitute instead of beans!.

I add green pepper and onion, some browned sausage and a small, drained can of pineapple tidbits (or cut your own into small pieces)!. I get asked for the recipe EVERY where I take the dish!. Even people who (think they) don't like pineapple, LOVE this!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 cans pork and Beans Drained
4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 cup catsup
1/2 cup brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
