Go and make a big noise out the front of the shop and tell it out loud they lie and sell unfresh goods!. and laugh at them everytime you walk past!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are day old cakes that isn't against health regulations so you can't call the health department!. If you want fresh baked that day cakes tell them that ask "do you have any out of the oven right now!?" I'm not going to purchase the day old ones I only like this cake when it is fresh!. If they keep selling you the old ones then stop going there!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmmm, I have the same problem when I buy bread, searching for the latest sell-by date! According the above poster's website link on "fresh", a day old cake is still "fresh"!. Guess the term is relative!. The FAA does not label a flight as "late" unless it is later than 15 minutes too!.

I would call the store manager and see if they will make good on your last purchase!. Other than that, buy your cakes elsewhere!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Day-old items should be labeled as such, and are usually discounted half-price!. Ask them WHEN it was baked; and ask for a discount if it was made the day ahead!. In fact, you could nicely suggest that they could feature a "day-old" counter!. That would help them get rid of yesterday's products!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. complain to your local health departmentWww@FoodAQ@Com

You can certainly stop shopping there!. You can report them to the Department of Public Health!. However!.!.!.!.!.!.usually people can sell food items within a certain period of time!. The problem is!.!.!.this is a bakery!.!.!.and the laws of expiration dates don't really apply!. also!.!.!.!.perhaps it is the cream!. If they aren't refrigerating it or wrapping it up right!.!.!.the cream or icing could turn bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Perhaps they have a different definition of fresh than you do!. Ask what day the cake was made instead!. Or, if you are having so many problems with them, go to another bakery!. I wouldn't continue giving my business to a place that sells sub-par products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you should call the health department the number should be in the phone book!. they will go check it out and look around the shop for a grade from the health inspection or ask them if you can see it!. you are entitled to that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
