When you eat sardines, do you remove the skin and bones?!

Question: When you eat sardines, do you remove the skin and bones!?
Is it traditional to remove the skin and bones before eating canned sardines or canned herring!? Is eating the skin and bones safe!? Does removing the skin or the bones remove important nutrients!? I imagine that removing the bones removes calcium!. Is the calcium in sardine bones digestible!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
