What can I use instead of caster sugar?!


Question: What can I use instead of caster sugar!?
I'm baking brownies but have run out of caster sugar (need 200g and only have 150g) can I use any other types of sugar!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Brown sugar is okay and will give brownies a rounder flavour!. It is also okay to top up the caster sugar with granulated, the brownies will be slightly crunhchier that's all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Soft light or dark brown sugar is great in Brownies - it gives them a lovely rich toffee like flavour, Or, simply use ordinary granulated sugar - it doesn't have to be casterWww@FoodAQ@Com

Icing sugar, normal sugar, brown sugar!.!. thats all I know :)
