Before cooking chickpeas, do I have to let them soak a few hours just like with beans?!

Yes, since they are dried, you do need to soak them!. Put them in a bowl, cover with water, and soak overnight, adding more water as needed!.
I use dried chickpeas to make hummus all the time!. Make sure you give them a good soak or your finished product will be way too dry!Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, you do need to soak them!. I think the only dried pulses you don't need to soak are lentils, as they are much smaller!.
