Whats the difference between a Dutch Oven and a Domestic Oven?!
Are Dutch ovens still made!?!.!. I researched it and they said it was a three-legged cooking pot, typically made of either heavy cast iron or aluminum made to be used over an open fire or hearth!.
Better question!.
If I have lets say my tray of lasagna for example over an open fire, will the performance differ, from say me using a Domestic one!. Domestic ones I'm assuming are the ones I have in the house right now, with heat being circulated around the matter being cooked!. So as long as cooking performance is concerned which one is the better oven!. I've noticed, that sometimes Ovens tend to leave some food uncooked in certain areas!. Like for example the core, which is the most important place!.
I'm Just curious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah, we always had a dutch oven for camping when I was growing up!. It was a big cast iron pot that you could bake lots of things in!. My mother used to slice up potatoes and fry them up in the morning over the campfire, and then my father would dig a big hole in the ground, and line the bottom with hot coals!. My mother would then put a pot roast with carrots and potatoes and onions in the dutch oven and put it in the hole and let it cook all day like that!. It worked more like a crock pot that way, but it was good for everything!. Ahhh!.!.!.memories I will never forget!. :) I am guessing that the crock pot method would be best for something like lasagna!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
