Are lentils similar to beans?!

Question: Are lentils similar to beans!?
Answers:
Yes!. Their flavor is similar to a bean but their texture is a little more like a pea!. That's what makes them popular in soups!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. Lentils are actually the 'seeds' that you find inside a 'bean' !.!.!. so is a pea, so lentils are probably closer to 'peas' since you can't 'eat the shell' on a lentil any more than you can eat the shell on a pea (although they can be eaten, only 'snap peas' are found in cooking with the 'shell' eaten more than the 'pea' inside) so they're closer to peas!. You don't eat the shell of most beans, either, though, and like many beans, lentils are usually found dried !.!.!. in fact, all beans, peas, and lentils are of the same 'family type' and so are similar!.
