i went into mcdonalds and ordered a 5 piece chicken select meal and it was like a lil over $8!! and i paid $1!.75 for a 2!.0 oz bag of pretzels and a 10 oz bottle of minite maid oj! why is food so much money!!!?!!?!!?!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hey! Your question is a great one, also now one of the problems people are running into, and will likely continue to be a problem in the future! Food prices are getting higher as gas prices get higher, because of transportation (i!.e trucking, airplanes!.!.!.)!. The more local you food you eat the less money it is, because it does not move around as much!. So to save money, eat locally! Do it to save money, and SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FARMERS! Hope this helps!.

Consider that there are bills to be paid, salaries to be paid, insurances to be paid!. The costs of running food service places can run very high!. It's the customer who pays for it!. also consider that if you'd gone to some independent place for your food it would have cost a lot more!. $8!.00 isn't really so bad when you come to think of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
