Question: If a weevil gets in your grits and you eat some after they are cooked will it hurt you!? I'm worried because!?
I'm 8 wks pregnant and I'm really careful what I eat, but we made grits and we cooked the little black bugs in with it and I don't know if it will hurt anything!.!.!.!. Thanks in advance!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honestly, even though it may seem gross, weevils are edible!. In America we believe eating bugs is disgusting, but in 80% of the rest of the world bugs are considered to be a staple part of the diet!. So no worries, you're perfectly safe!. Good luck with your baby!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I accidentally ate some before too in cream of wheat, and it didn't hurt me!. The thought of it made me ill, but the bugs didn't!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
