Question: Is it safe to eat pork that has been in a freezer without electricity for 50 hours!?
Answers:
generally, yes it should be alright!.!.!. a freezer without electricity should keep the meet frosted for about a day, then as it warms up the meet will gradually only become cool, which will make it fresh for another half a day, and after that will remain at room temperature for another half a day which won't affect it!.!.!. so, if you haven't opened the door to check on the meat and thus lost the freeze stored already, it should be alright!.!.!. naturally, by the time you get to check these answers to see if the meat's still good, it'll have gone bad!.!.!. well how do ya like that ^^!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, Unless it was still frozen or had some Icy areas(and cold to touch) in the meat!.

"A freezer full of food will usually keep about 2 days if the door is kept shut; a half-full freezer will last about a day!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

A freezer is much like an ice chest, but better!. As it was full of ice already, and I assume the pork was frozen solid to start with, the odds are very good that the meat is fine!. Just cook it very, very well!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It should be ok if it is cooked now since defrosted meat will keep for a couple of days without the need to cook but on no account freeze it again before you cook itWww@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think I'd eat anything from a freezer that has been without power for 50 hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
