What are good snack ideas to send to family working in Iraq?!
Can I send candy bars or will they melt!? I know the obvious, beef jerky, cans of nuts, but what else would be good that won't melt or get crushed!? ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
It might still be very hot there, so chocolate could melt!. How about packages of Red Vines or Twizzlers!? Pringles ship well and don't crush; packages of trail mix; individual packages of Oreos and chocolate chip cookies!. There's lots of Halloween candy out now, and I've seen bags of Good & Plenty and Bit O Honey, which wouldn't melt!. If they have access to milk, they might like packages of instant pudding mix; Crystal Lite that gets added to individual bottles of waterWww@FoodAQ@Com
hey,
when my brother was over there for war (5 times!!) we would send stuff over in a box filled with CEREAL!. THe cereal (like Captain Crunch, etc) would act as a protective lining- packaging, plus it is edible! My mom would put a big zip lock baggie in the box so that when my brother would receive the box he could empty the cereal into the bag and eat whenever!
Send lots of gum and mints, granola bars, crackers, pringles, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
