Are potato chips a healthy lunch?!

Question: Are potato chips a healthy lunch!?
Answers:
They most certainly are!. The potato chip (Crisps here in UK) are packed full of energy at about 200-300 cals per bag - ideal for the office worker who may not have time to leave the desk for longer than enough time to grab a coffee from the office vending machine!.

In spite of what the food fascists may have told you, potatoes, chipped or not, are packed full of vitamin C - eat more potatoesWww@FoodAQ@Com

No, home made chips with the skin on could be Part of a healthy lunch though!. A potato that's not a russet is best because russets are the white bread of the potato family!. You need some fruit, a vegetable like some celery sticks, a whole grain with lots of fiber and a complete protein such as rice and beans, last off some healthy fats like from raw pumpkin seeds(more protein also)!. Whole foods, when eaten in their raw unprocessed state, are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants will help you look and feel your best!.
You ARE what you eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not at all, potato chips are absolutely unhealthy!. they are fired and then salted, a processed food is never healthy!. I wouldnt say potato is unhealthy, potato is very good if not taken with any fat, a boiled potato would be a great lunch, however when mixed with fat or oil it is very fattening!.

Do not only count calories, please take care of the nutrition as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is my opinion that the majority of processed foods that Americans ingest are unhealthy for them!. Such foods, as potato chips, contain large amounts of salt/sodium and unhealthy fats (not just trans fats, which foods still contain despite what labels say - if it is below 1% it does not have to be stated on the nutritional table)!. Not to mention that the serving sizes of potato chips most American consume are equal to the number of calories contain within a single meal!. Eating only potato chips for a meal will have the same effect that eating any "snack food," or tiny portion of food designed to ease a person's hunger between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner and provide the body with a bust of energy!. Potato chips are considered to be a "junk food" because they contain no nutritional value - high levels of refined sugar, white flour, trans fat and saturated fat, salt, and various preservatives and coloring agents and low levels of proteins, vitamins, fiber!. All of this means that within a hour of eating a bag of potato chips (even if correctly portioned) you will still be hungry!. Constant consumption of potato chips as lunch can and will lead to health problems in the years to come - including, but not limited to obesity, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and dental cavities!. Potato chips on the occasion is okay, but as a lunch, everyday makes them an even unhealthier choose of foods!.

So!. !. !. no potato chips are not a healthy lunch or snack!

P!.S!. The only healthy white potato is one that is baked and served with no butter, no sour cream, and no salt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Probably not!. That's what I eat for lunch everyday!. I'm either too poor or too lazy to go out and get lunch while I am at work!. I don't pack my own lunch because I know I won't eat it!. I usually just plan on not eating all day untill dinner time, but the vending machine just taunts me untill I get some chippys!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. not even the baked ones, they are better than the fried but still bad!. they are full of Monosodium glutamate, a chemical compound and most contain cotton seed oil which contain traces of pesticide leak onto them while they are farming the cotton!. Eat veggies or fruits instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
