My boyfriend wont eat veggies! How can I "hide them" in food?!
My boyfriend is worse than a child when it comes to eating his veggies!. He lives off of fast-food cheeseburgers!!
We are purchasing a condo together and will be closing on October 9th!. I really want to incoporate veggies into every meal but I'm not sure how to do it!
As not to be rude, he always eats AT LEAST SOME of the veggies that I cook!. One of the veggies he has no probem eatig is cauliflower (as long as its smotherd in butter grrr!)
I've heard of adding squash and stuff to spaghetti sauce, i've heard its hardly noticable!
Anybody have a recipe for that!? or something simliar!?!?
He WILL eat salad but usually only iceburg lettus which has little to no nutrients!. I'm thinking about buying a bag of fresh baby spinach and just throwing a couple spinach leafs into a nice big salad (the nice big salad, that he'll only eat smotherd in dressing & full of cheese!)
My boyfriend is not overweight at all -I dont know how hes not, but hes not!. My concern is not for him to lose weight or diet!.!.!.its just to incoporate a healthier diet!. The way he eats now is no good for his body!!!
Any imput on this would be fantastic!! tips, advice, suggestions!.!.!.
Hes not opposed to eating the veggies, he just hates the way they taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I understand how you feel - I'm in the same situation!. Here are a few things that I do:
Buy romaine lettuce, especially the bagged kind!. It tastes similar to iceberg lettuce and isn't as strongly flavored as spinach!. Don't worry about the dressing and cheese if he's not overweight!. Add lettuce and tomato to sandwiches, and throw veggies on pizza and in pasta whenever you think you can sneak it past him!. I add broccoli to mac and cheese all the time!.
Speaking of which, would he eat carrots, cucumbers, and other stuff like that if you gave him different kinds of dips!? Use salad dressing, salsa, cheese, peanut butter, caramel - anything he likes!. I put a plate of veggies and dip in front of my boyfriend when he's on the computer or watching TV, and he eats them without even realizing it! :)
You can add whatever veggies you want to sauce - just puree them and adjust the amount you add depending on how much you think he'll like!. And don't forget, tomato sauce usually has at least one serving of veggies!. I even manage to sneak carrots into smoothies sometimes!.
Will he eat soup!? Veggies might be easier to eat when they've been smothered in chicken stock!. Tomato soup goes nicely with sandwiches!. And you can always try out broccoli cheese soup: http://www!.cooks!.com/rec/view/0,166,1351!.!.!.
If all else fails, try adding fruit instead, and see if he'll take a multivitamin or something!. Or see if he minds the taste of V8 juice - drinking a can of that a day is better than nothing!. Good luck!

When I make pasta sauce, I always throw in a bag of pre-washed spinach!. It shrinks down so much - so one bag is not too much!. You can do the same when making lasagna!.
You can do a stir-fry with beef!. First saute thinly sliced onions, shredded carrots, shredded squash!. Set aside and quickly stir-fry the meat!. Add the vegetables and add seasonings to taste!. Since the vegetables are shredded, I don't think he will complain!. (Plus they're too small to pick out!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I chop up veggies in the food processor so they're small chips of what they were and incorporate them into spaghetti sauce (celery, carrots, mushrooms, onions, garlic, bell pepper), meatloaf (pretty much the same, just saute them with some thyme and let it cool before mixing it with the meat), peel and shred zucchini and drain it before mixing with potatoes and making potato cakes, thaw and squeeze frozen chopped spinach dry, then add to anything!.
It won't take much, just keep him out of the kitchen so he won't know!. That's the biggest challenge, keeping him out of the way!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chicken Fajitas are great and REALLY easy to cook, and they have loadz if veg in them! You can pick up a "fajita kit" in most supermarkets with simple instructions on the back of the box!.
Or if its a case of he wont even try veg, why not get veggie burgers!?
Or make soup (which again is Very Easy to do, chop up just about ANY veg you like, add water, stock cubes, lentils and blend when your done)Www@FoodAQ@Com
