Question: Is white bread whole grain!?
the name of my bread is Great Value Split Top White BreadWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No, it is not whole grain!.
It is made from white flour!.
In order to be considered whole grain it has to be made from wheat, not white flour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No what you have a bread with all the bran extracted!. If you want white bread with some fibre you will have to read the label!. You can find bread called "best of both" which is enriched with fibre and is white!.

Or why not just by Wholemeal bread which has less fibre taken out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, white bread is overly processed and uses bleached flour!. Since Great Value is Wal-Mart's brand of bread, I suggest purchasing their whole wheat or Harvest 9 Grain that they offer in the bread section near the deli and cake bakery section!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They take out part of the grain for white flour and that is why white bread is not whole grain!. When you are buying bread look for something that says 100% whole wheat or whole grain, meaning nothing has been removed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the bran removed is white one!.whole grain bread is some what brown colored and is good for health!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
