Hmm, only an Amoeba or Dinosaur may have your answer!.

Fruits have existed longer than humans, and most animals!. You'd have to look into when plants first existed, which is impossible presently!.

Heck, if you want to use the Bible for something, look at that Genesis and the line about "Forbidden Fruit"!. And that's a story of creation!.

I can tell you that the English 'word' of "fruit" appears to have developed in the 12th century!. But other older languages would have their own words for "fruit" too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you mean by humans, probably by the first humans!. If you mean all round, probably by the first ever living organisms on the planet!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fruit was first discovered in the Garden of Eden when Eve, that little minx, tempted Adam with an apple and they both were in BIG trouble!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well if you are a bible basher!. Adam and Eve!. Apples!.

Evolution!. Who knows!. You need an expert on Botany!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
