Starbucks latte temperature?!

Question: Starbucks latte temperature!?
Whenever I get a latte at Starbucks it is never hot enough for me, even when I ask for it "extra hot!." Today I had one made and the guy told me that it was 200 degrees and that it was too hot!. To me, that was perfect!. Am I allowed to request that my milk be steamed to 200 degrees or will they not do this for legal reasons!? It was the best Chai Latte I have ever drank!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i used to work in a coffee shop (not starbucks though)
using an automatic machine, it would stop steaming between 150-160 degrees!. but there were those who liked it extra hot, and that was fine; per request, i don't see a legal problem!. and now that you know a specific temperature to request, you can take some of the guess work out of how hot is "extra hot"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most places serve coffee at 145 for many reasons

1) The obvious legal reasons!. Don't want a lawsuit on their hands, understandably!.

2) It's what most people consider optimal temperature!. Sorry, your not in the 80% group!.

3) Milk can burn if it get too hot!. Burnt milk taste HORRIBLE!!! Imagine taking your tongue and dragging it along the ground for a mile!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always ask for extra hot too!. Sometimes they don't re-steam the milk for every drink and it gets too cold!. Nothing worse than a luke warm latte (that you just paid $4 for)Www@FoodAQ@Com

your the customer, and buyer and consumer!
by law they have to listen to you!

hope i helped,I love starbucks too!Www@FoodAQ@Com
