I believe you may have let it sit too long in the fridge!. also, some people don't know that you have to actually ice the salmon while in the fridge!. To do this you take two plastic containers, you poke holes in the bottom of one and set it on top of the one without holes (creating a filter)!. Next, you wrap the salmon tightly in plastic wrap!. Now, you take the ice and put a layer of ice along the bottom of the top container!. Then, you lay the salmon on top of the ice!. Next, tightly pack ice around and on top of the salmon!. Place the containers in your fridge!. The trick here is that you have to DRAIN the water that runs off into the bottom tray twice a day until you want to cook the salmon!. You must also replace the ice as well!. The reason the salmon starts to smell like tuna is because it sits too long at a warmer temperature in your fridge without the ice and starts to go bad basically!. Even tuna that is properly packed and contained will not smell!.!.!.like tuna!. Tuna gets a bad wrap because of its smell, but in actuality, its not the Tuna that stinks, its the fact that it is often improperly packed, stored longer than it should be, and overcooked that gives it the rotten "tuna" smell!. Canned tuna is notorious for this because canned tuna is ALWAYS overcooked, over salted, and stored WAY too long!. That's why it always smells like bad cat food!

Don't leave canned food in the can after opening it!. Someone my dad knew died from botulism that way!.
If you did put it in a different container and it tasted good and didn't look weird at all!.!.!. then you have nothing to worry about!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

oh come on!

are you sure it was not Tuna!

I would guess that you ate the Cats food by mistake and the Cat had Salmon for dinner! What a lucky Cat you have!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
