Bananas contain tryptopha, an amino acid that is converted to serotonin, an inhibiting brain neurotransmitter which makes bananas a calming food!. Bananas are high in the B-complex vitamins, which are known to have a calming effect on the nervous system!.

Depends on where you put the banana! It could arouse you and then wham, your ready for a smoke and some relaxation!. If you eat a lot of any item it will calm you down due to the fact that your stomach is trying to digest the food!. If your having a driving test, I wouldn't eat a bunch of fruit!. You don't want to crap your pants during your test or rip a SBD on your instructor!. Just take some deep breaths and relax as much as possible!. Clear your mind of all your thoughts and think of a tranquil and peaceful place you'd like to be right now!. I would stop eating the fruit and eat some Carbs to slow you down!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes among other things bananas are rich in vitamin B complex and tryptophan which have been shown to have calming effects!.

Keep in mind bananas have a lot of sugar in them too, so its possible to offset any tranquilizing effects with the sugar rush!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
