What an awesome question!
Now I am hungry for pasta!.
When I prepare spaghetti, I boil it with salted water, a bit of oil, then serve it with about 1 lb!. ground beef (or frozen meatballs), 2 jars of sauce containing little sugar, with dried oregano, basil, garlic powder, and at least two cans of drained 'shrooms for an easy comforting dinner!.
I notice my boyfriend dumps a bunch of "meaty sauce" on his spaghetti, while I nearly prefer to eat my pasta with as little sauce as possible, i!.e!., just a bit of meat and sauce!. If I have taken too much "meaty sauce" to start, I notice that I fish for the pasta alone and end up scraping the meat into the trash!. Hmmm, well, I do eat every meatball if I only take like 4 small ones!.
Gee, we have spaghetti at least twice a week! I am a foodie so I have always enjoyed cooking!. I do have just as easy recipes than "from the jar", I just don't have the time to track my favorite recipes down!. Have one where the sauce is just butter, canned plum tomatoes, and half an onion, all simmering for 20 minutes, correct for salt -- to die for!. My cookbooks are in storage!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Traditional italian cooking usually uses a thinner sauce because it coats better, but when I make a sauce I usually go for something that has chunky veggies in it and it is a bit thicker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
