Are you cooking at home more now that money is getting tighter?!

Question: Are you cooking at home more now that money is getting tighter!?
Yes, we are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes!. First, for the obvious reason, we are trying to save money!. Second, I really think that the quality has been going down hill!. Which, I can totally understand!. The price of food has really taken a jump!.

For example, at a local restaurant I generally order a particular sandwich a couple of times a month!. Never in 10 years of eating the sandwich has it ever been bad!. The last time that I ordered the same sandwich, the bread was different (not better; and it's a homemade type of roll) and the fillings were not as good!. My sister had the same complaint and she ate the same sandwich a week after I did!.

Then, at a chain, we went in for dinner and the quality again was not as good!. I really couldn't put my finger on what the problem was (I didn't complain to the manager), but it just wasn't as good!.

Besides, my kids want to eat at home!. My 6 year old will pass up McDonalds (when I'm really tired and don't feel like cooking) and ask me to cook something at home!. Or, he'll ask for a bowl of cereal!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say yes, food is better when it's home made and it's fun to cook!. We still have the occasional eating out every once in a while!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes!. It increases the quality in our house hold relationships!.But the cost of food is crazy aint it!? I went to a Aldi type store that wanted !.60 for a can of corn!.
