Can you buy mint frosting in the store?!
My friend's b-day is coming up, and i couldn't think of anything to give, I was thinking maybe something green since that's her favorite color, then that reminded me how mint is green and then I remembered how she told me she loved mint and chocolate together, so i was going to make a chocolate cake with mint frosting and chocolate chips on top!. I was looking up which brands make mint frosting, but I couldn't find any!. So can you buy it in the store, if so, what brand, or do u have to make it yourself!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've seen Betty Crocker Mint Frosting! We have a chain of stores around here (I live in Minnesota) that is a bit more "high end" and that is where I've seen it!. You might try looking at the "classier" grocery stores in your area to see if they have a more specialized variety of baking stuff!. But even the really big chains (Cub Foods, for instance) might have it if their selection of frosting is big enough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think I may have seen it before!. The easiest thing to do is just take some regular white buttermilk frosting from the store, put it in a bowl then add 1 drop of mint extract and 1 drop of green food coloring!. The mint is really really strong, so be careful!. Then mix it up until the color is evenly distributed!. If you need more mint or color, keep adding it one drop at a time, but those are both extremely strong so be careful because you probably don't want a shamrock green icing that burns your nose when you eat it!. get any white/vanilla canned frosting they sell with the cakes!.!. take some green food coloring, add just a tiny drop at a time and mix till its the color you want!.!. and buy some peppermint flavoring and add a drop of it also till its the right mint strength you want!.!.!.
