Question: How do I defrost deep freezer!. Floor type not upright!.!?
I know there is food at the bottom - haven't seen it for a couple of years or so and don't intend to use it!. I was thinking I might wait until Jan/Feb and put the good food on the balcony so that it doesn't defrost!. The instruction book is in the bottom - frozen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

About the only thing you can do to defrost a chest freezer is just take out the food you are saving and unplug it!. When my grandmother used to defrost hers we would take out everything she wanted to keep then once everything in the bottom got defrosted enough to take out we would throw it away, then put towels in the bottom to soak up the water if it doesn't have a drain!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it is easy
in restaurants we remove food and take a spatula and shave the ice and smack the sides of the freezer ,the ice falls off and then you scoop out the ice
and put food back in freezer !. the process takes maximum of 15 minutes ,your food will not defrost
this is the right way and done in all restaurants ,dont worry you will not break nothing you are just hitting the sides of freezer ,i have done this many many times and never had a problemWww@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with Kel but I soak up the water with a dish towel!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
