Melting Cheese? ?!

Question: Melting Cheese!? !?
I was wondering how you melt cheese!.
Everytime I do it it just melts and hardens on to the bowl/plate!.
I want it so I can dip chips!.

Thanks (:Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Put it in a glass bowl and microwave it!. Stir it every five seconds so it doesn't get a chance to harden!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

What kind of cheese are you using!?

That's probably your biggest problem!. If you are melting just Cheddar, it's going to melt and then harden unless you add other easier melting cheese to it and/or oil, milk, cream, etc!.

Try a mix of cheeses for the best outcome!. Some for flavor, some for stability!.!.!.and you can do it in the microwave, in a double boiler!.!.!.just go slow and keep it warm or almost any cheese will re-harden!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best recipe I found for my cheese recipe is this:
1 block of velveeta cheese
1 small package of your favorite sausage
1 can of rotel tomatoes
1 can of cream of chicken soup

fry sausage, put all the ingredients into a crock pot and put it on low stiring constantly!. The best
