How do you eat organic peanut butter?!
My whole life I've loved creamy peanut butter (oddly I dislike the taste of peanuts though)!. This past year I've been trying to find organic food to eat healthier (rare around here as there are no health food stores for over 60 miles) and I came across some organic peanut butter in Walmart!. No "partially hydrogenated vegetable oils"!?! Sign me up! At first I wondered about the "water" on top, but after reading the label "Oil separation is natural!. Just stir and enjoy!." I was relieved and I bought it!. So after stirring and ending up with what looked like normal peanut butter, I used my butter knife in an attempt to get some out!. Even after stirring, the peanut butter didn't retain any of its thickness (which was a common trait of "normal" peanut butter)!. I'd try to spread it on a cracker and it would slide off like!.!.!.well like one of those solids that acts like a liquid!. Then I noticed something that mentioned refrigeration on the label!. I thought "Oh! It must harden when you refrigerate it!" so I did!. It helped!.!.!.a little!. I'm still experiencing the same problem though!. Please help me!. Is there anything I can do to make this peanut butter more spreadable, more bearable!? I can't in good conscience throw away a jar of good peanut butter after living off it for so many years!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The different consistency is symptomatic of organic/natural peanut butter!. There is little you can do to thicken it up without changing the taste of it or possibly altering the benefits of the organic nature of it!. I could suggest taking a couple of spoonfuls of the peanut butter in a small bowl and maybe try mixing in a small amount of corn starch as a thickener - see how it works and tastes - I honestly don't know if this would work, or for that matter, taste good, but it's all I can think of!. Other than that, I think you're stuck with it the way it is!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Legs crossed barefoot under a tree!? (can't afford shoes due the ridiculous highly priced organic lifestyle)Www@FoodAQ@Com
I put mine in the bin!! It was horrid!. Couldn't spread it, and no taste anyway!. I did recycle the empty jar tho, so as not to be too wastefull!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
you have to sing with or without you by U2 while spreading the butter evenly onto bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I've had good organic peanut butter before but, if i were you i wouldnt go to Walmart to buy it, I would go to a place that specifically sells organic foods like Whole Foods Market!. They have a bigger selection of peanut butters!. I like creamy too and they do have good organic ones!. Yeah the oilyness is kinda wierd at first lol!. I forgot the brand but, the ones I've had so far are better than regular non organic peanut butter!.
EDIT: maybe mix it with another brand of peanut butter (non-oily) and it will take away some of the oilyness since you don't wanna waste it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
