Is it ok to precook home made oven chips?!
We are going out straight from school and they always take ages to cook so I thought maybe I could cook them halfway now and hopefully for just half an hour to crisp up later!? Have you done this!? Can anything go wrong!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sometimes when I make home-made chips, I take them out of the oven and let them chill for a while, then I put them back in for the last 10 minutes!. They don't stick to the pan as bad and there is something different about them, in a good way, versus whenever I just cook them all the way!. I don't think there will be any problem with it, as long as they aren't in your backpack or anything for hours!. Though I know some people may disagree, there is no real prob!. :) I would suggest though not adding any seasoning but salt until the last heating!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
