Is there any brands of candy corn that doesn't have any peanuts?!
I'm allergic to peanuts and all kind of other nuts!. Is there any brand of candy corn that doesn't have nuts in them!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
I didn't find any candy company stating peanut-free, Safeway used to sell them but apparently do not any longer!. It's not worth the risk of buying them without the guarantee of them being peanut/nut free!.
I recommend buying them online from a company such as the one I linked below, that specifically states peanut-free Candy Corn(and other foods) or even making your own at home with the recipe I am posting below!.
Homemade Candy Corn
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup non fat milk powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup corn syrup
5 tablespoons salted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Red and yellow food coloring
Combine powdered sugar, milk powder, and salt into medium bowl; set aside!.
Bring sugar, corn syrup and butter to boil over high heat in heavy large saucepan!. Reduce heat to medium-high and boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally!. Remove from heat!.
Add the vanilla extract and powdered sugar mixture to hot syrup mixture in pan; stirring to combine well!. Let mixture stand until slightly warm to touch, about 20 to 30 minutes!.
Divide dough into 3 equal pieces and place each in separate small mixing bowls!.
Color one piece of dough at a time!. For yellow dough, add several drops of yellow food coloring to one piece and knead the dough until smooth and color is even (it is advisable to use disposable plastic glove to protect hands from being stained by food color)!. For orange dough, repeat procedure using several drops of both the red and yellow food coloring!. For white dough, do not add any food coloring to the third piece!.
Roll each piece into a thin rope!. Press the three ropes together to form a long rectangle!. Using sharp knife, cut ropes into triangles!. Using fingers, shape candy corn as desired!.
Store at room temperature in airtight container, separating layers with pieces of waxed paper to prevent sticking!.
Makes about 1 pound!.
Hope I helped =)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've never seen candy corn with peanuts inside!
Maybe you are reading the disclaimer that says something like "this food is processed in a plant that also processes peanuts"!. That means that they make peanut M&Ms one day, then the next day they make candy corn on the same conveyor belt!.
Here's a website that gives you a list of food manufacturers that do not use peanuts at all!.
