Answers:
Yes there is a difference! tO MAKE THE WAFFLE CRUNCHIER LIKE THEY ARE SUPPSOE TO BE THE BATTER HAS TO HAVE MORE OIL AND EGGS!. Otherwise they will just be the same except for the shape!!! They are suppose to be different!.!.!.!.
Waffle batter can make for a decent pancake batter, but pancake batter does not necessarily make for a good waffle batter!. The extra fat has to be there to give waffles a crispy teture!. And it contains more eggs!.!.
Traditionally, waffle batter is made with egg yolks and the whites are whipped separately and folded in just before cooking!. This gives waffles a much airier texture than pancakes--the batter ends up being a foam!.
Many people (even home cooks) have never had waffles done this way, but it is worth the extra effort!. I would encourage you to try it!.
Waffle batter needs more oil also to be crisp ont cakey like pancakes!.

Pancakes:
2 cups all-purpose flour, stirred or sifted before measuring
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
Preparation:
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt!. In a separate bowl, combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture, stirring only until smooth!. Blend in melted butter!. Cook on a hot, greased griddle, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake!. Cook until brown on one side and around edge; turn and brown the other side!. Recipe for pancakes serves 4!.
More Pancakes

1 3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
3 eggs
7 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups milk
Preheat the waffle iron!. Sift the dry indredients into a medium sized bowl!. Separate the eggs, putting the egg whites in smaller bowl!. Beat the egg whites until they are stiff!. (If you are using an electric mixer, you can beat the egg whites first, then beat the batter without having to wash the beaters!. The reverse is not true!. If you beat the batter first and you have to wash the beaters before beating the egg whites!.) Add the egg yolks, oil and milk all at one time to the dry indredients!. Beat until there are no lumps in the batter!. Fold the egg whites into the other batter using a spatula or other flat utinsel!. Put a full 1/2 cup of batter in your waffle iron to make a 9-inch round waffle!. This recipe makes about eight 9 inch waffles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Every recipe of pancake batter and waffle batter you look at will be different!. There are not standards when it comes to pancakes or waffle recipes!. When cooking, things are not always black and white!. Sometimes there are a lot of grey areas!.

Both pancakes and waffles are a type of shortbread!. As far a classification goes, thats as specific as you're going to get!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

that depends on what you decide to put in the batter!. DUH!. Like, a chef or cook or anyone making food, doesn't measure exactly how many milligrams of flour they put, the exact mass of the eggs, the volume of egg yolk present in the egg, what the chicken were fed before they produced eggs etc!. everyone makes batter differently!.!.!.!. It's the same, unless you decide to make a fruit flavored pancake, or pandan flavoured waffle!.!.!.!.!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

i don't think so, all of my friends and family make waffles out of the pancake batter!.!.!. it still tastes good so it doesn't really make a difference to me if there is a difference but it may to youWww@FoodAQ@Com

The batter is the same!. It's the cooking method that makes them taste different!. A pancake only gets heat from one side, while the waffle gets heat on both sides giving it the crunchy texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Waffles are thicker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yea
waffles have litte boxes on them
