Why are my eggs going bad?!

Question: Why are my eggs going bad!?
I bought eggs a month ago, and two weeks ago threw them out because they smelled!. I replaced them with another carton of eggs!. Last night I hard boiled them, but noticed they had an "odd" odor on the shell!. I washed them off before boiling them, but sure enough, when cracked open, they were bad!. However, my milk is still okay in the fridge!. When my fridge was colder, my produce froze!. How do I fix this problem!? Could my eggs really go bad if my milk is okay!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
eggs are permeable and can pick up odors throughout the egg!. if you store your eggs outside of their container or near "stinky" food like meats and cheeses they are really likely to pick up funk!. also, i wouldn't keep eggs for more than 2 weeks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some refrigerators have those little indentations in the door to hold eggs - don't use that!. Opening & closing the fridge door exposes the eggs to temperature fluctuations!. Eggs should be stored in their original carton in the back of the fridge and preferably on a lower shelf!.

ps I keep eggs for longer than a month that way
