I have two very ripe avocados- will be using tonight- can I put them in the fridge?!
I was thinking that if I put them in in fridge- it will slow down their ripening process!.!.!. We are planning on using them tonight at 10ish, which is about 8 hours from now!. They are seriously very ripe- perfect, but I don't want them to get any more ripe!.!.!. I've also read that the fridge makes them turn even more black!?

Don't refrigerate them!. The texture will be better of they are left out!. 8 more hours won't ruin them!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Once the avocado is fully ripe and you don't want it to go bad, I always put them in the fridge to slow down the ripening process, if I am not going to be using them soon, i!.e!., within the next few hours!. Plus, I like them a little cold!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't suggest putting it in the refrigerator, it'll slow down the ripening process, just let it sit out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If you're using them tonight, I would think putting them in the fridge would stop the ripening process!.!.!.just let them sit out a little while to soften up again before you use them!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I would, but I only make mushed up things like guacamole with avocados!.
It might damage them if you want them for something a bit more fancy!.
