Why is all supermarket 'fish in batter' nothing like the picture on the box?!

Question: Why is all supermarket 'fish in batter' nothing like the picture on the box!?
You can't beat a nice battered cod from the local chipshop!. Why can't anyone make anything that even resembles this that you can buy in a supermarket!. I don't care what it says on the box, the fish is always processed like fishfingers, never pure white like cod, the batter nothing like the chippie, and they are always about the size of a mini-fish!. And at about £2 for 2 (thats without the cost of chips/mushy peas etc) you might as well go to the chippie and get 2 mini-fish specials for £3!. Does anyone know of a brand that gets close!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
