Did you not go to bed with chicken smell in the air!?!!

Well, not the same but I have left our heater on overnight!. It's a gas one that you click on and I put it on full blast one night when watching a film, went up to bed, shutting the living room door and fell asleep!.

The next morning, OH MY GOD, my mum was SCREAMING at me to get up - it was, like, 8 on a Saturday morning and I ran downstairs!.!.!.the living room was BOILING hot and my poor cat was sleeping behind the sofa the nigth I was watching a film and got shut in cos stupid me shut the door behind me!!!!!

He could have died, poor baby!. He was okay!.!.!.just drinking water like crazy and ran outside!.

It wasn't my fault!.!.!.it was still kind of cold when I went upstairs AND my cat is usually out of the house by 9/10 as he keeps pestering us for food in the night!.

That COULD have been a match for your story, you know!.!.!. over-cooked cat!.!.!.except in the living room :|Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've left the oven on and after I was done cooking I forgot to turn it off!.!. So, now after I'm done cleaning up the kitchen I always check and double check!. !. I also use the times since it turns OFF the oven when it goes off!.!.

I did however leave a gas grill on outside for two days!.!.!. I was housesitting and my parents were a bit upset!

You are lucky you didn't have a fire!.!. It must've been on a low temp!.!.

Good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I have - sort of!.

I was making tacos a few weeks ago, so I draped a few hard shells on the oven rack to heat up and then turned the oven off during dinner!. The next time I heated the oven, I thought, "Wow it sure smells like nachos here," and found a lone taco shell sizzling away on the oven rack!.

Now I don't turn the oven on without looking inside first!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Please don't ever do that again!.!.!.you could have like!.!.!.died!.!.!.in a fire and have no home left!. But to answer your question I left a pie in the oven on Saturday and nearly burnt the house down, it was only for like 2 hours but I can still smell it!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
