Question: Can anyone give me tips on charcoal barbecuing a whole Pork Tenderloin!?
How long do I grill it for!? Direct or indirect grilling!?

Any other tips!?

Thanks
PS - its a small to medium size pork tenderloin, so its sort of like grilling a really smal roastWww@FoodAQ@Com

A pork tenderloin will not take very long at all!.
I like mine stuffed!. I make a stuffing and add cranberries and apple to the stuffing!. Make a hole in the center with a knife and gently expand the opening!. (No need to cut it open!.) When the opening is about 2 inches in diameter I start pushing the stuffing in!. Push it in to the center on one end then fill from the other side!. Do not over stuff!.
Place on hot grill and turn about every 2 minutes!. This will cook very very fast because the meat is only about 1 inch thick!.
If you don't want the stuffing just season and grill but watch the meat because you do not want to over cook a pork tenderloin!. Almost any thing above 145 will end up dry !. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use indirect grilling so it cooks slower and the middle gets done without the outside burning!. I would also use some hickory chips to give it flavor!. Use a meat thermometer to determine if it's done or not!. Don't cut it until it's had a chance to rest for 5-10 minutes!. I would also throw some seasoning on the outside to add some flavor!. Here's my favorite all purpose seasoning recipe!. It tastes great on any kind of meat!.

1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepperWww@FoodAQ@Com

Make sure you cook it throughout because it is pork and pork needs to be more well done then pink inside!. I would put it on medium and watch it, cook it on both side for about 8-10 minutes and then cut it so you can make sure the middle is cooked as well and not at all pink, then enjoy!. If you cook it in the oven, my pork tenterloin for a big piece takes about 18-20 minutes on 350!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi! These are really good tips — especially brining!
The time depends on how thick the meat is!. Cooking times vary between 15 minutes to 45 minutes!.
Spring for a cheap meat thermometer, dude; it's the ONLY way to tell when any meat is cooked!. Only cook your loverly tenderloin to 145oF!.
Use a rub and be generous but use less salt if you've brined!.
Pork Tenderloin is one of my favorite meats!. I'll wait until it goes on sale here in SoCal and buy several whole ones, brine the suckers and then freeze!
Oh, yeah ——GO O'BAMA! (Isn't he Irish!?)
*edit* 160o is well done and dry!

Cook it on high fir 5 minutes to sear it!. Then turn off one of the burners and do indirect heat!. Cook it until internal temp is 160!.

Remove from grill, wrap in foil for 10 minutes!. Then slice and serve!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
