I just ate yogurt that expired 3 months ago?!

Question: I just ate yogurt that expired 3 months ago!?
I just ate Yoplait Original Lowfat Peach Yogurt, it is 1% Milkfat with live and active cultures!. It expired exactly 3 months ago!. It tasted as good as the non-expired yogurt, had the same consistency and nothing appeared to be wrong!. Was this safe to eat!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You will be fine!

Taste will let you know when it's good or bad!. Live cultures have demolished the bad bacteria!. There isn't much in Yoplait that can go bad!. Almost all the calories are sugar related, and the cultures preserve what "milk" products there are that can spoil!. True Yogurt has been around for centuries and a batch may last for months without refrigeration!.

I am not familiar with Yoplait, and personally prefer low-fat versions without added sugar, fructose, corn syrup, etc!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, it probably was!. You would notice if it was "off"!. Yogurt is like cheese!. It was invented as a perservation technique for milk products!. also, milkfat itself has a preservative effect, so the higher the milkfat content, the lnoger it will last!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would imagine it was fine if it tasted fine!. I think the only problem you would have is a little discomfort in the tummy and if you don't feel it yet, they you are probably good to go!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

you may or may not get the poo-poo's or alot of gaz!. Don't worry about it!. If you start to get some serious syptoms though, go straight to the hospital!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Umm probably not because yogurt is alive anyways - gone off yogurt must have tasted bad - how did you not notice!?
